Ahvaz (Persian: اهواز‎, romanized: Ahvāz) is a city in the southwest of Iran and the capital of Khuzestan province. Ahvaz's population is about 1,300,000 and its built-up area with the nearby town of Sheybani is home to 1,136,989 inhabitants. It is home to Persians, Arabs, Bakhtiaris, Dezfulis, Shushtaris, etc.

Ahvaz Field is a super-giant oil field located in Ahvaz, Khuzestan, Iran. It was discovered in 1953 and Developed by Anglo-Persian Oil Company. It began production in 1954. Ahvaz field is one of the richest oil fields in the world with an estimated proven reserves around 65.5 billion barrels (~8.94×10^9 t), and production is centered on 750,000 barrels per day (119,000 m3/d).

The Ghadir Stadium (Persian: ورزشگاه غدیر اهواز‎) is a new multi-use stadium in Ahvaz, Iran, has a capacity of 38,900 people and is owned by Persian Gulf Pro League side Foolad.

The Old Bridge of Dezful is located near the city of Dezful in South Western Iran. This bridge connects the western and eastern part of the city of Dezful.

White Bridge (Persian: پل سفید‎), is a suspension bridge located in Ahwaz, Iran. The bridge was completed on September 21, 1936 and was inaugurated on November 6, 1936. The bridge remains a symbol of the city still today.

Pol-e Siah, or the Black Bridge, in Ahvaz, Iran, is a national heritage site.It was constructed in 1929.

The Takhti Stadium of Ahvaz (Persian: ورزشگاه تختی اهواز‎) is a multi-purpose stadium in Ahvaz, Iran. It is currently used mostly for football and rugby matches. The stadium is able to hold 15,000 people. It is currently home venue of Esteghlal Ahvaz.
