This trail starts with a leisurely walk in the streets of Ellenbrook, then proceeds to Lake Fresca Park with it’s scenic lake, bridges and tall shading trees. The lake hosts a small variety of water birds.
In winter Lake Fresca often has a blanket of fog that hovers just above the water and though it is almost completely surrounded by houses, it can be quiet and very calming.
In summer, while still very scenic, it is not quite as calming, with the water in the lake having a tendency to evaporate quite a lot, which causes it to play host to a variety of bugs, including many blood sucking mosquitoes. The trail continues through more streets, leading to Forestview Park North which is an almost straight stretch of grass and path, approximately 1.5km long, then through more streets and ending back at Lake Fresca Park.
