Kingston is a town on the outskirts of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Nestled 12 km south of the city between and around several hills, Kingston is the seat of the Kingborough Council, and today serves as the gateway between Hobart and the D'Entrecasteaux Channel region, which meets the Derwent River nearby.

Kingston Beach is a suburb of the greater Hobart area, capital of Tasmania, Australia. It is located on the Derwent River at the mouth of Browns Rivulet. It was originally known as Browns River Beach in the 1850s. Kingston Beach was a regularly photographed location in the twentieth century. The beach is patrolled by Kingston Beach Surf Life Saving Club between the months of December and April.

Calvin Christian School is a coeducational, private Kindergarten to Year 12 Christian school located 12 kilometres south of Hobart, Tasmania in Kingston.It is part of Christian Schools Tasmania, a network of four schools around Hobart. It is owned and managed by an association, whose members are parents and past parents of students.

Channel Court is a sub regional shopping centre located on the Channel Highway, Kingston, Tasmania. For many years the shopping centre was considered very small but adequate to the needs of the local population. However, since being purchased by the Behrakis Group in June 2004 the centre has undergone a complete transformation to cope with the influx of mainlanders and their traffic.

St Aloysius Catholic College is an independent Roman Catholic co-educational primary and secondary day school with campuses in Kingston Beach and Huntingfield, in southern Tasmania. The College provides education for children from Kindergarten to Year 4 at the Kingston Beach campus and Year 5 to Year 10 at the Huntingfield campus.
