The route starts at the parking in front of the Marie de Lagnes, ascend through the village and into the hills. (Free WC on right side of Marie, approx 75m.) The slopes on the walk are quite steep with loose rocks, stones etc in places and walking batons are useful. The walk takes you along the historical wall constructed to control the bubonic plague. Some old guard posts still exist
