Christie Pits Park

Christie Pits, (officially Willowvale Park, until 1983), is a public recreational area in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 750 Bloor Street West at Christie Street, just west of the Toronto Transit Commission Christie subway station.The park has an area of 21.9 acres (8.9 ha), about half of which is grassed picnic areas, the rest being various sports fields.

Christie is a subway station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth of the Toronto subway in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the east side of Christie Street just north of Bloor Street West, and opened in 1966 as part of the original segment of the subway line. Wi-Fi service is available at this station.

The Ukrainian Cultural Centre of Toronto was located at 83-85 Christie St., Toronto, Ontario, Canada until the building was sold in 2015. (The Centre has relocated to the Old Mill Hotel and Banquet complex since then)."Christie", as the building was simply dubbed, was host to many Ukrainian events. and was the heart of the Ukrainian community in the Greater Toronto Area, bringing together people with a common culture and ideas.
