Oosterdok

NEMO Science Museum (from latin Nobody) is a science centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is located in the Oosterdokseiland neighbourhood in the Amsterdam-Centrum borough, situated between the Oosterdokseiland and the Kattenburg. The museum has its origins in 1923, and is housed in a building designed by Renzo Piano since 1997.

The Montelbaanstoren is a tower on bank of the Oudeschans, Amsterdam canal in the Netherlands. The original tower was built in 1516 as part of the Walls of Amsterdam for the purpose of defending the city and the harbour. The top half, designed by Hendrick de Keyser, was extended to its current, decorative form in 1606.

The Shipping House (Dutch: Scheepvaarthuis) is a building on the western tip of the Waalseiland near Amsterdam harbour that is one of the top 100 Dutch heritage sites and generally regarded as the first true example of the Amsterdam School, a style characterised by "expressive dynamism, lavish ornamentation and colourful embellishments".

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA) is a Dutch academy of music located in Amsterdam. This school is the music division of the Amsterdam University of the Arts, the city's vocational university of arts. The Conservatorium van Amsterdam is the largest music academy in the Netherlands, offering programs in classical music, jazz, pop, early music, music education, and opera.

Lastage is a neighborhood in the Centrum borough of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is located between the Geldersekade and Oudeschans canals, just east of old medieval city. Today, the neighbourhood is also known as Nieuwmarktbuurt due to the fact that the Nieuwmarkt is comprised in the area; it is protected as a heritage site.

De Appel is a contemporary arts centre, located in Amsterdam. Since it was founded in 1975 by Wies Smals, the goal of De Appel is to function as a stage for research and presentation of visual arts. Exhibitions, publications and discursive events are the main activities of De Appel. In 1994, Saskia Bos established an intensive course, called 'The Curatorial Programme'.

The Kromme Waal is a street in Amsterdam between the Prins Hendrikkade and the Oude Waal. From Kraansluis (bridge 300, in the Prins Hendrikkade) to Waalseilandbrug (bridge 283), the street forms the western quay of the Waalseilandsgracht, the old inner harbor of Amsterdam between the Montelbaanstoren and the IJ.

&moshik, formerly &samhoud places, is a fine-dining restaurant in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars for 2013. However it owed this rating to the past performance of its head chef as the restaurant was opened too briefly for a thorough review. In November 2013, the restaurant was again awarded two stars, this time under their own power.

The Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam (OBA; Dutch pronunciation: [oːpənˈbaːrə biblioːˈteːk ɑmstərˈdɑm]; English: Amsterdam Public Library) is an organisation of public libraries in Amsterdam, Diemen and Ouder-Amstel in the Netherlands. The first library opened in 1919 at the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. As of 2018, the OBA had 26 branch libraries, 177,000 members, and 1.3 million objects in its collection.
