Kozhikode Beach

Kozhikode Beach or Calicut Beach is a beach on the western side of Kozhikode, situated on the Malabar Coast of India. The beach is accessible through four road overbridges in the city. The beach has paved stones and illumination. There is one Lions Park for the children and an aquarium. Kozhikode beach has always been a prominent place for conducting public meetings.

Kozhikode ([koːɻikːoːɖ] (listen)), also known as Calicut, is an Indian city, second-largest urban agglomeration in the State of Kerala and 20th largest in the country with a population of 2 million according to 2011 census.During classical antiquity and the Middle Ages, Kozhikode was dubbed the City of Spices for its role as the major trading point of Indian spices.

Mishkal Mosque (Malayalam: മിശ്കാൽ പള്ളി, also spelled Mithqal Mosque) is a medieval mosque located in Calicut on Malabar Coast, southern India. The mosque, one of the few surviving medieval mosques in Kerala, is regarded as an important cultural, historical and architectural monument of Kerala. The mosque was built by the eponymous Muslim merchant-shipowner (nakhuda) in the 14th century.

Kozhikkode Lighthouse is a defunct light in the Kozhikkode District of Kerala. It was constructed in 1907. The first lighthouse was constructed in 1847 at a height of 33 meters (108 ft). The current tower is 15 meters (49 ft) and is painted white. Kozhikode or Calicut lighthouse is automated, and an LED flasher apparatus is in use.

St. Joseph's Boys' Higher Secondary School, in Kozhikode, is one of the oldest educational institutions in India and the oldest school in Kerala. The school run by the Society of Jesus was started in 1793. The Jesuit educators have as their aim the pupil's complete development.

Samoothiri Tower is a proposed multistorey tower located in the southern Indian city of Kozhikode. The tower will be built as the information centre for the tourism of Malabar. The tower will stand 62m tall when completed and will have a historic museum in the first two floors along with a viewing gallery on the 14th floor from which the panoramic views of the whole city can be enjoyed.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Calicut (Latin: Calicuten(sis)) is a suffragan diocese Latin rite in the Ecclesiastical province of Verapoly in Kerala state, southern India, yet it depends on the missionary Roman Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.Its cathedral episcopal see is Mother of God Cathedral, dedicated to Our Lady, in the city of Kozhikode (Calicut).
