This is both a beautiful and historic trail. It's the site of the first African American airfield. Back from the days of segregation. This is not only rich history, but an absolutely beautiful trail in a gorgeous forest. You can see artifacts from the airfield on your hike. Part of the trail is temporarily closed but it’s still well worth it. The trail is very well marked and beautifully maintained.
