Great Baddow High School is an 11 - 18 Year olds comprehensive secondary school in Chelmsford, Essex, England. In September 2002, the school was awarded specialist Sports College status. The school then converted into academy status in July 2011 and retains its sports specialism, adopting Science as a second specialism in 2014.

West Hanningfield is a small village and civil parish in south Essex, England. It is located approximately 8 km (5.0 mi) south-southeast of the county town of Chelmsford. The village is in the borough of Chelmsford and in the parliamentary constituency of Rayleigh.It is located to the north of Hanningfield Reservoir.

Marconi Research Centre is the former name of the current BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Laboratories facility at Great Baddow in Essex, United Kingdom. Under its earlier name, research at this site spanned military and civilian technology covering the full range of products offered by GEC-Marconi, including radio, radar, telecommunications, mechatronics and microelectronics.

South Hanningfield is a small village and civil parish in the Chelmsford district of Essex, England. The village is located on the south bank of the Hanningfield Reservoir, around 6 miles (10 km) south-southeast of the city of Chelmsford, and around 2 1⁄2 miles (4 km) north of Wickford.The centre of South Hanningfield is situated around the village green, known as the Tye.
