The largest natural park in Romania (7000 hectares), founded in 1900 and declared a natural monument in 1939.
It is situated at 5 minutes walking distance from the city, in the Trivale neighborhood.
The park is the intersection of three valleys, which explains its name: Trivale (three valleys).
This route started near the Gate of Heroes, in the Trivale neighborhood and ended in the middle of the park (Ciuleandra Restaurant).
At the entrance of the park there is the Trivale Monastery with a beautiful orthodox church (both are historical monuments).
A great park for a relaxing stroll, but also cycling, jogging or rollerblades are suggested activities. An ice skating ring is set up in winter.
Children playgrounds, an open air gym, an area for dogs, some places for food and refreshments and, finally, the Cornul Vanatorului Tourist Complex, the ending point of open air walks for the inhabitants.
Good to know: in the forest there is also the Zoological Garden, situated at less than one kilometer from the Cornul Vanatorului Complex.
