Milton is a city in Santa Rosa County, Florida. It is the county seat of Santa Rosa County, and is located in the Pensacola–Ferry Pass–Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area, also known as the Pensacola Metropolitan Area. Milton is located in the geographic center of Santa Rosa County, it is bordered by Pace to the west, and the Blackwater River to the east.

Milton High School (MHS) is a public four-year high school located in Milton, Florida. Milton High School was established in 1915 making it the oldest school in Santa Rosa County. The original campus was built on Canal Street in Milton, FL and held classes there until it moved to its current location on Stewart Street in 1953.

The Mt. Pilgrim African Baptist Church (also known as the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church) is a historic church in Milton, Florida. It is located at the junction of Alice and Clara Streets.On May 29, 1992, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. In 1989, the church was listed in A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published by the University of Florida Press.

The Milton Historic District is a U.S. historic district (designated as such on November 12, 1987) located in Milton, Florida. The district is along US 90 at the Blackwater River, bounded by Berryhill, Willing, Hill, Canal, Margaret, & Susan Streets. It contains 117 historic buildings.
