The Kuwait Towers are a group of three slender towers in Kuwait City, standing on a promontory into the Persian Gulf. They were the sixth, and last, group in the larger Kuwait Water Towers system of 34 towers (33 store water; one stores equipment), and were built in a style considerably different from the other five groups.

The Battle of Dasman Palace (Arabic: معركة قصر دسمان‎ maʿraka Qaṣr Dasmān), also called the Battle of Dasman, was a battle between the Kuwaiti and Iraqi forces during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait on 2 August 1990.

The Battle of Failaka broke out between the Kuwaiti garrison of Failaka Island and attacking Iraqi forces during the Iraqi Invasion of Kuwait, on 2 August 1990. The Kuwaiti garrison consisted of an infantry company and a company of border guards, in addition to air defense company armed with Hawk SAMs.

Dasman (Arabic: دسمان‎, romanized: Dasmān) is a seaside district of Kuwait City in Kuwait. It is notable for hosting the Dasman Palace, which previously housed members of the House of Al Sabah and was the site of the Battle of Dasman Palace in 1990 during the Gulf War. Another historic palace is located in the district: the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jabir Palace, which currently occupies the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
