We start the bike route at Bull Point (part of the island that looks towards Skull Creek and the Intercoastal Waterway) to finish at the entrance of the Refuge.
The first section of the 0.8 mile road is a grass trail and when we pass the Barker Pond it changes to a gravel road for approximately 1.3 more miles.
It is a very interesting place for lovers of wildlife and nature, (great variety of birds) beautiful views towards the marshes and a very relaxed place, there are not too many people, if you go during the week.
Ideal for hiking / cycling.
Everything starts and ends in the parking area, so the distances are round trip. In my case, not to repeat the route, I only do it back. There is no water or toilets and the path is too hard for the wheelchair.
