Saltney is a town and community adjoining Chester on the England–Wales border with the west part lying in Flintshire and the eastern part in Cheshire. It is part of the Deeside conurbation of towns that lie near the River Dee.

Chester Golf Club is an English golf club, located in Curzon Park, Chester, Cheshire. The club participates in competitions and inter-club matches. Set on two levels, the 18-hole meadowland course is contained within a loop of the River Dee. The clubhouse has a licensed bar.

Saltney was a minor railway station located on the Great Western Railway's Paddington to Birkenhead line a few miles west of Chester, England. Although the station is now closed, the route is still open today as part of the Shrewsbury to Chester Line.

Sealand Road was the home stadium of Chester City Football Club (until 1983 known as Chester Football Club) from 1906 until 1990. Although officially known simply as The Stadium, it was more commonly referred to as Sealand Road. It was much-loved by supporters of Chester, who followed their team there for 84 years, and after its closure spent an hour making the journey across Cheshire to watch their team play games at Macclesfield Town's Moss Rose ground for two years before the completion of the Deva Stadium in 1992.
