The Academy of Sciences of Albania (Albanian: Akademia e Shkencave e Shqipërisë), founded in 1972, is the most important scientific institution in Albania. In the 1980s, several research institutes began at the University of Tirana were transferred to the Academy's jurisdiction. The institution includes the most distinguished scientists, also called "academics", that are involved in research centers and other organisms inside and outside Albania.

The Grand Park of Tirana (Albanian: Parku i Madh i Tiranës), or the Park on the Artificial Lake, is a 289 hectare public park situated on the southern part of Tirana, Albania.The Park includes an artificial lake and many other landmarks such as the Saint Procopius Church, the Presidential Palace, and memorials to several Albanian personalities.

The Hadji Et'hem Bey Mosque (Albanian: Xhamia e Et'hem Beut) is a mosque in Tirana, Albania. Closed under communist rule, the mosque reopened as a house of worship in 1991. Without permission from the authorities, 10,000 people attended and the police did not interfere. Frescoes outside and in the portico depict trees, waterfalls and bridges – motifs rarely seen in Islamic art.

Fortress of Justinian (Albanian: Kalaja e Justinianit) or simply known as Tirana Castle (Albanian: Kalaja e Tiranës) is a castle in Tirana, Albania. Its history dates back before 1300 and is a remnant from the Byzantine-era. The fortress is the place where the main east-west and north-south roads crossed, and formed the heart of Tirana.

The Kapllan Pasha Tomb (Albanian: Tyrbja e Kapllan Pashës) is a Muslim Türbe of Albania, located in the center of Tirana.It is a Cultural Monument of the first category and was so declared by the government of Albania in 1948. It was built in the early 19th century, with carved stones and has an octagonal shape.

Albanian International School is an English-language international school in Tirana, Albania.

Dibër Street (Albanian: Rruga e Dibrës, formerly Rruga Bajram Curri) is a major street in Tirana, Albania. It runs northeast from the central Skanderbeg Square, just south of the Tirana International Hotel. The Mother Teresa Hospital (QSUT) is located on this street.

AMC Love Radio is a radio station based in Tirana, the capital of Albania. The station broadcasts mostly pop ballads.

The Embassy of Italy in Tirana is the embassy of Italy in Albania, in the capital city of Tirana. The embassy is charged with diplomacy and Albania–Italy relations. The Italian Ambassador to Albania is the head of the diplomatic mission of Italy to Albania.

Elbasan Street (Albanian: Rruga e Elbasanit, formerly Rruga Labinoti) is a major street of Tirana, Albania. It is the most important street of southern Tirana leading to national road SH3 and European Route E852. It eventually leads to Elbasan. The US Embassy in Tirana and the Jordan Misja Artistic Lyceum are located on Elbasan Street.
