Near Helen’s Bay

Carnalea (; from Irish Carnan Lao, meaning 'small mound of the calves') is a townland west of Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. It consists of the Killaire area, Station Road area and Seymour area and falls under the control of Ards and North Down Borough Council and within the Bangor West electoral boundary.

Carnalea railway station is located in the townland of Carnalea in northwest Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland.It was first opened by the B.C.D.R. Crawfordsburn railway station served Crawfordsburn Hospital (which closed in the early 1990s) and Crawfordsburn Country Park in County Down, Northern Ireland. It was situated between Carnalea and Helen's Bay. The halt closed in 1997 because of low passenger numbers. The platforms were removed in 2001 during the relaying of the Belfast-Bangor railway line.
