Not far away from Gradina Icoanei Park there is another nice to visit place: Ion Voicu Park, also known as Ioanid Park, situated on the place of Bucurestioara, a former affluent of the Dambovita river.
Although very small, it is even more beautiful than Icoanei Garden. Located in the same quiet area, few minutes away from Piata Romana or Piata Spaniei, it has a lake with an artesian well, a wooden bridge and some rocks around it, a pavilion, a children playground and a basketball court. The Ion Voicu’s statue and an information panel with the story of the park are also there.
A very peaceful place surrounded by a lot of old and monumental buildings - the entire area is an open air museum and it was declared a historical monument. Take a look and take some pictures, it worth.
Nearby, the French Institute and the Elvire Popesco Cinema, so you can walk in the park before or after watching a movie.
