Portree is situated on the east side of Isle of Skye overlooking a sheltered bay. It is the largest village town and the capital of the Isle of Skye. Portree Harbour is along Quay Street, about 200m from the city centre. Public parking is limited along the harbour so it’s best to go on foot. You will enjoy the walk looking at the boats moored across the Harbour flanked by hills on the side. The iconic pink, yellow and blue-painted buildings is one of the most photogenic spots. Seagulls flying by the iconic buildings will make your walking experience a memorable one. Make a loop at the end of the street at the pier. An absolutely must Route when you are in Portree.
