Die Route verläuft über gut ausgebaute Fuß- Rad- und Feldwege mit leichtem Relief. Die ersten 4 km verlaufen an der stark befahrenen Bremervörder Straße und an der B74. Danach läuft man 6,5 km durch ländlich geprägte Siedlungen und durch das landschaftlich reizvolle Schwingetal. Die folgenden 8 km sind überwiegend stätisch geprägt und führt an der Stader Altstadt vorbei. Der letzte Abschnitt führt uns in die Schwingewiesen. Der Schluss kann auf der sogenannten Fitnessmeile, einem etwa 1,8 km langen Rundkurs beliebig verlängert werden.
