The School District of Lee County manages public education in Lee County, Florida. As of May 2014, there are 87,120 students in the whole district.The District school choice system is an open-enrollment system for school assignments and goes through the Student Assignment Office. A lottery process is used to assign students to schools when the number of applicants for a school exceeds the number of available seats.

On July 8, 1999, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.This property is part of the Lee County Multiple Property Submission, a Multiple Property Submission to the National Register.
