The Cairo Marriott Hotel is one of the tallest buildings in Cairo, a large hotel located in the Zamalek district on Gezira Island, situated on the Nile, and just west of downtown Cairo, Egypt. The Marriott opened in 1983, but the central wing was built as the Gezirah Palace for the Khedive Isma'il Pasha in 1869 and converted to a luxury hotel in 1894.

The Museum of Islamic Ceramics is a ceramics museum in central Cairo, Egypt, which was launched in February 1999.The museum is located in the Zamalek district on Gezira Island on the Nile, just west of downtown Cairo. It is situated within the Prince Amr Ibrahim Palace, built in 1921.As at January 2019, it has been closed for restoration for at least 2 years.

The 6th October Bridge (Arabic: جسر 6 أكتوبر‎, Kubri 6 uktubar) is an elevated highway in central Cairo, Egypt. The 20.5 kilometres (12.7 mi) bridge and causeway crosses the Nile twice from the west bank suburbs, east through Gezira Island to Downtown Cairo, and on to connect the city to the Cairo International Airport to the east.

Boulaq (Arabic: بولاق‎, romanized: Būlāq), is a district of Cairo, in Egypt. It neighbours Downtown Cairo, Azbakeya, and the River Nile.

Agouza (Arabic: العجوزة‎, al-ʿajuza) is a small suburb of Giza district, in Giza Governorate, on the western bank of the Nile River. It is situated between 6th October Bridge and 15th May Bridge and is north of Dokki and south of Mohandesin suburbs. Because the British Council is situated there, many expats choose to live in its leafy and fairly quiet streets.

Al Ahly Sports Hall (Arabic: صالة النادي الاهلي بالجزيرة‎) is one of Al Ahly SC club's buildings, and known as a multi-purpose arena in Cairo, Egypt. It is currently used by the Al Ahly (basketball), Al Ahly (handball), and Al Ahly (volleyball) sections of the club.

The Prince Amr Ibrahim Palace is a historical building in Cairo's Zamalek island, which is used as the Egypt's first ceramics museum and as an art center.

The Gezira Center for Modern Art, also known as the Egyptian Modern Art Museum, is an art museum for modern and contemporary art, located in Cairo, Egypt. It is part of the National Cultural Centre with the Cairo Opera House, on Gezira Island, just across the Nile on Qasr el-Nil Street west of downtown Cairo.

The Cairo Opera House (Arabic: دار الأوبرا المصرية‎, Dār el-Opera el-Masreyya; literally "Egyptian Opera House"), part of Cairo's National Cultural Centre, is the main performing arts venue in the Egyptian capital. Home to most of Egypt's finest musical groups, it is located on the southern portion of Gezira Island in the Nile River, in the Zamalek district near downtown Cairo.

El-Tetsh Stadium (Arabic: ستاد مختار التتش‎, often referred to as ) is one of Al Ahly SC club's sections that represent the club in Egypt and internationally.Although the game of football was not one of the goals of the founders of Al Ahly club the goal of the club was openining its doors to students of higher schools to meet and practice political dialogues, but the graduates of high schools members of the club have fallen in love with football, which prompted Ahly to build the first stadium in 1909 and they used to call it the time (Al-Hawsh), which is a colloquial word from Egyptian dialect means the courtyard in Arabic.
