The Freedom Monument (Latvian: Brīvības piemineklis, pronounced [ˈbriːviːbas ˈpiɛmineklis]) is a memorial located in Riga, Latvia, honouring soldiers killed during the Latvian War of Independence (1918–1920). It is considered an important symbol of the freedom, independence, and sovereignty of Latvia.

The Art Academy of Latvia (Latvian: Latvijas Mākslas akadēmija) is an institution of higher education and scientific research in art, located in Riga, Latvia. The neo-Gothic brick building is located on Krišjānis Valdemārs Street, next to the National Museum of Art.

Central District (Latvian: Centra rajons) is one of six administrative districts of Riga, the capital of Latvia.

The Natural History Museum of Latvia is a natural history museum in Riga, Latvia. It was founded in 1845 by the Riga Balto-German intelligentsia as part of the Riga Naturalist Society which also established a library. It contains the oldest collection of natural history in the Baltic States.

The Pushkin Statue in Kronvalda park in Riga, Latvia, was erected in 2009 as a gift from the city of Moscow. Sculptor Alexander Tartynov.There are specific reasons for the monument to be installed in the above-mentioned park. The boulevard along the park was named after Pushkin before the 1920s. The statue of Pushkin was installed at the theater near the park.

The Laima Clock (Latvian: Laimas pulkstenis) is a landmark in central Riga, Latvia. Its location between the Old Town and the Centre commercial district has made it a landmark of the city.

The Latvian National Theatre (Latvian: Latvijas Nacionālais teātris) is one of the leading professional theatres in Latvia. The building is in the Eclectic style and is an architectural and artistic monument. The country of Latvia was proclaimed in this building in the year 1918. On 23 February, the theatre will celebrate its 100th anniversary.

The University of Latvia (LU) (Latvian: Latvijas Universitāte) is a state-run university located in Riga, Latvia. It was established in 1919.The university is ranked 801st-1000th in the world in 2019 and have had the highest place as 651st–700th in 2017 as well as 7th in the Baltic states after the University of Tartu, Vilnius University, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Tallinn University of Technology, Kaunas University of Technology and Riga Technical University and 50th in EECA (Emerging Europe and Central Asia) rating.

The Latvian National Opera (LNO, Latvijas Nacionālā opera), Riga, is the national opera of Latvia. The opera company includes the Latvian National Ballet (LNB), LNO Chorus, and LNO Orchestra.

Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (Latvian: Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas akadēmija), formerly the Riga Conservatory, is a higher education establishment of music at 1 Barona Street, Riga, Latvia. The junior institute is the Emīls Dārziņš Music School.
