From Asaka Station to Wakoshi Station

Riken (理研) is a large scientific research institute in Japan. Founded in 1917, it now has about 3,000 scientists on seven campuses across Japan, including the main site at Wakō, Saitama Prefecture, just outside Tokyo. Riken is a Designated National Research and Development Institute, and was formerly an Independent Administrative Institution.

Asaka (朝霞市, Asaka-shi) is a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 June 2019, the city had an estimated population of 142,029, and a population density of 7744 persons per km². Its total area is 18.34 square kilometres (7.08 sq mi).

Wakō (和光市, Wakō-shi) is a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 February 2016, the city had an estimated population of 80,666, and a population density of 7310 persons per km2. Its total area is 11.04 square kilometres (4.26 sq mi).

Riken Brain Science Institute, often abbreviated as Riken-BSI and now Riken Centre for Brain Science, is a non-profit research institute focusing on neuroscience located in Wakō city, Saitama Prefecture in the greater Tokyo area, Japan. It was established to lead the field of neuroscience in 1997 as one of the institutes in Riken.

Asaka Station (朝霞駅, Asaka-eki) is a railway station on the Tobu Tojo Line in Asaka, Saitama, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Tobu Railway.

Wakōshi Station (和光市駅, Wakōshi-eki) is a railway station in Wakō, Saitama, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Tobu Railway and Tokyo subway operator Tokyo Metro. It is the only Tokyo Metro station located in Saitama Prefecture. It is the westernmost station in the Tokyo subway network, and the northernmost Tokyo Metro station (Nishi-Takashimadaira on the Toei network is farther north).
