Llantwit Fardre (Welsh: Llanilltud Faerdref) is a large village and community (and electoral ward) situated on the A473, Pontypridd to Bridgend, road near the Welsh towns of Pontypridd and Llantrisant. Llantwit Fardre is also the name of the old parish and the community area that takes in the villages of Llantwit Fardre, Tonteg and Church Village.

Efail Isaf railway station was a former railway station in Efail Isaf in south Wales. It was on the Barry Railway between Tonteg and Wenvoe, which ran broadly north-south through Creigiau.

Church Village Halt railway station was a small halt on the Llantrisant and Taff Vale Junction Railway. The station was just south of the crossroads in the village on the road to Efail Isaf.The station consisted of a single platform and station buildings to the immediate west of Station Road, which crossed the railway on a small bridge.

A small bridge crossed over Crown Hill to the west of the station followed by the Dyffryn Red Ash Colliery sidings and a spur to Cwm Colliery. There were numerous tramways for coal workings in this area.

Ysgol Garth Olwg (previously named Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen and Ysgol Gyfun Garth Olwg) is a Welsh Medium comprehensive school in the village of Church Village near Pontypridd, in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It was the first Welsh language comprehensive school in the south of Wales.
