Fort Widley

Fort Widley is one of the forts built on top of Portsdown Hill between 1860 and 1868 on the recommendation of the Royal Commission on the Defence of the United Kingdom. It was designed, along with the other Palmerston Forts atop Portsdown, to protect Portsmouth from attack from the rear.

Purbrook Heath is a hamlet in the civil parish of Purbrook (where the 2011 Census was included) in the Havant of Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Waterlooville, which lies approximately 1.5 miles (2.6 km) north-east from hamlet. The Heath includes many attractions such as the cage where the locals can play football or basketball.
