Kildare railway station is a railway station on the Dublin to Cork Railway line and Dublin commuter service.It is also the changing-point for passengers to/from services to Waterford.It has three tracks, one for through services and two platforms. As the first major station on the south- and west-bound line from Heuston station, it is served, or at least passed-through, by a large number of trains.

Round Towers is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Kildare in County Kildare, Ireland winner of 10 Kildare county senior football championships in all, six as Round Towers, three as Kildare and one as St Patrick's. Glenn Ryan featured on the Kildare football team of the millennium and was an All Stars Award winner in 1997 and 1998.
