The Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library, formerly known as the National Heritage Museum and the Museum of Our National Heritage is a museum located in Lexington, Massachusetts. Its emphasis is on American history and Freemasonry, and it contains the Van Gorden-Williams Library & Archives, a Masonic research library.

Settled in 1641 as a farming community, it is well known as the site of the first shots of the American Revolutionary War, in the Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775.

The John Mason House is an historic First Period house on 1303 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington, Massachusetts. It is a 2-1/2 story wood frame structure, its main block three bays wide, with a side gable roof, clapboard siding, and two chimneys set behind the roof ridge. A leanto section to the rear gives it a saltbox profile, and an ell extends to the right.

The Stone Building, built in 1833, is an historic Greek Revival style building located at 735 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington, Massachusetts. It was originally a meeting hall for East Lexington, which had its own civic identity and its own church, the neighboring Follen Community Church. Notable speakers at the hall included Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, Charles Sumner, Wendell Phillips, Theodore Parker, and Josiah Quincy, Jr.

The US Post Office-Lexington Main is an historic post office at 1661 Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington, Massachusetts. The single story brick Georgian Revival building was built in 1937 as part of a Depression era works program. The building has fairly modest styling: it has a belfry and cupola, and its entry is flanked by fluted engaged columns, and topped by a simple entablature, and an eagle set in a carved recess.

Munroe Tavern, located at 1332 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, Massachusetts, is an American Revolutionary War site that played a prominent role in the Battle of Lexington and Concord. It is now preserved and operated as a museum by the Lexington Historical Society, with exhibits highlighting the role and perspective of the British soldiers during the outbreak of the war.

Munroe was a railroad depot in the Munroe Hill neighbourhood of Lexington, Massachusetts, serving the Lexington Branch of the MBTA Commuter Rail system. The depot was located near Munroe Tavern. The station was opened sometime before 1904 and demolished in 1959. It was rebuilt in 1962. It was acquired by the town of Bedford in 1963 and acquired by the MBTA in 1964.

Adjacent to the 185-acre Great Meadows conservation land, the Waldorf School of Lexington (WSL), located in Lexington, Massachusetts, was founded in 1971 and serves students from preschool through grade 8. The school offers a challenging academic program, provided by faculty educated in the understanding of students’ cognitive, emotional, and physical developmental stages.
