This easy route follows portions of a few connected trails from Deerfield Circle (a parking spot off Mission Gorge Road) to the Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center. The path starts on the Deerfield Loop and heads east. The trail surface goes from pavement to large gravel as it slopes down toward a tiny pond. After crossing a short bridge, the trail soon becomes a dirt path and quickly links up with the Visitor Center Loop. Continue east and hook north to arrive at the Visitor Center where there are plenty of viewing areas overlooking the park. The route is a bit overgrown in spots and provides little to no shade. Keep an eye out for rattlesnakes sharing the path during the warmer months.
