Greenham & Crookham Commons

Royal Air Force Greenham Common or RAF Greenham Common is a former Royal Air Force station in Berkshire, England. The airfield was southeast of Newbury, Berkshire, about 55 miles (89 km) west of London.Opened in 1942, it was used by both the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Forces during the Second World War and the United States Air Force during the Cold War, also as a base for nuclear weapons.

Greenham is a village and civil parish in Berkshire, England. It was recorded in the Domesday Book as Greneham. Greenham commences immediately south-east of Newbury and is in the West Berkshire district of England.

Greenham and Crookham Commons is a 280.5-hectare (693-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) on the southern outskirts of Newbury in Berkshire. The SSSI is in several areas and it is part of the 444-hectare (1,100-acre) Greenham and Crookham Commons nature reserve, which is owned by West Berkshire Council and managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.

Greenham Preceptory was a preceptory of Knights Hospitaller in Berkshire, England. It was established in 1199 and dissolved in 1540.
