Within Cooper Lake State Park South Sulphur Unit, this is a well maintained, earthen trail of moderate difficulty leading through hardwoods, Juniper stands, canebrakes and bridging over several small creeks. The trailhead is well marked near the far end of the parking lot farthest from the lake front. Benches can be found several spots along the wad and there is a composting toilet conveniently located near the halfway point around Harper’s Hill. The trail loops back upon itself shortly after this rest stop.
