I love this route I walk it nightly with my dogs. It use to be a lot better and more peaceful but ever since they put the day hangout homeless shelter thing down the road the trail and river is crawling with homeless ppl. There walking through our neighborhoods with carts and leaving messes of trash and bathroom toilet paper everywhere it’s really bad. If someone leaves furniture out on the side of the road with a free sign they snatch that up and bring it out along the river where they have there camp set up and when they’ve dirtied that spot they move a little further down and start trashing all over again. It’s horrible. And since the homeless hangout shelter is only a durning the day hangout there all there during the day and at night they all stay out here behind our houses on our city trails and along the river so they can just wake up and return down to the shelter until night. I still walk the trail nightly with my dogs but it’s just not the same and of course I feel unsafe
