Turkmen Agricultural University Named after S.A. Niyazov (Turkmen: S.A.Nyýazow adyndaky Türkmen oba hojalyk Uniwersitety) is the largest higher education institution in Turkmenistan. This university only provides studies in the fields of agriculture. It is named after Saparmurat Niyazov, Turkmenistan's first president.

The Ashgabat Botanical Garden was founded in 1 October 1929, is the oldest botanical garden in Turkmenistan. It covers a territory of approximately 18 hectares, and contains a live exhibition of more than 500 different species of plants coming from various parts of the world. The park is divided into several climatic zones, decorated with sculptures and gazebos, there are greenhouses.
