We started our walk in Wilson Village, where the parking lot is in front of the Bufalo’s restaurant. We see the ruins, which are the remains of the house of Marion and Richard T. Wilson Jr. that he acquired with 18,000 acres of land in 1902. Until in 1926 the great mansion caught fire.
We continue towards the pier, passing through the chapel and we are on the May river.
The whole town is charming with emblematic live oaks and Spanish moss. It combines a passion for nature with southern civility, as well as large doses of sports such as walking, running, riding, golf, fishing, horse riding and all kinds of water sports. .
On this first visit we surrounded the town by Myrtle View St., next to the river, until we reach the first bridge.
Accessible for wheelchairs, strollers and dogs with leashes.
