Road/trail running through forest. First 1.6km is extremely steep uphill, followed by a variably steep downhill till the turnaround point. Because of the long consistent downhill, the return journey is quite difficult, as the uphill gradient feels much steeper the the same downhill gradient. The last 1,6km, now very steep downhill, is pleasantly fast. One finds it difficult to run slower than a 3’30”/km. The hardest aspect of this run is the small, almost round grit used as the topping on this gravel surface. You are constantly rolling as you run.
