Firs Farm Wetlands, Park and Playing Fields is a serene oasis in busy north London. It has been created on what was a farm site for centuries. In recent years the wetland was formed by exposing part of the underground river as part of the flood relief scheme. The wetland helps to soak up some of the excess water during periods of heavy rainfall. The result is a habitat for birds and other wildlife to prosper. The woods are being made more accessible to all and new pathways being created. Edmonton cemetery is beside and can also be explored along with Bury Lodge and Pymmes Park.
